Amendment 6 (so far)

Right: Speedy trial
Source: Magna Carta Clause 40
Argument: Defendants were once held for unreasonable amounts of time before standing trial.
Court Case: Barker v. Wingo (The right was supposedly denied to the defendant)
Contemporary: Defendants are to stand trial with little or no delay

  1. Arguments are those opposed to putting this right in the constitution.


    Also, contemporary would be issues that are going on today not how it's executed today.
